HOW TO GET VOLUMINOUS HAIR

Recently I started using the Hot Tools curler 1 1/4″ and it leaves my hair with voluminous waves. So in today’s post I bring to you a pictorial showing you how I achieve this big and voluminous hair.

I start off with clean hair. I usually wash my hair the night before and style it the next day to avoid the use of extra heat added to my hair.

I then apply the Pravana Intense Therapy Leave-In Treatment to bring moister back into my hair. I’m seriously in love with this stuff! If there is one thing you take from this post, let it be you going to the store and buying it. It works wonders as a detangler, and it has such an amazing smell! So amazing that I sometimes over spray just to keep smelling it.

After waiting about 5 minutes for the leave in conditioner to dry, I then apply the Olaplex bonding oil all over my hair and especially at my ends. This stuff is my all-time favorite! It definitely helps to bring back shine to my hair without my hair looking greasy.

I proceed to parting my hair down the middle and section my hair in two parts. 

I work from the bottom of my hair to the top of my hair to reassure myself that I’m getting every bit of hair curled.

I grab about an inch of hair or so and apply some IGK BEACHCLUB TEXTURIZING HAIRSPRAY . This works perfect if you’re someone looking for not a whole lot of hold but still wanting to keep your curls intact. Even after I brush my hair out my curls are still intact. 

For this type of curls, I like going in with the Hot Tools 1 1/4″ iron. The 1 1/4″ iron makes large, loose “curls” that blend together and look like a lot of body, not like defined curls.

For safety, I make sure to always curl my hair away from my face and keep the iron on my hair for no more than 10 seconds.

I spray the texturing hairspray every time I do each curl. 

For the final step, I run my fingers throughout my hair and let it do its thing.
